Service Description

Clinical supervision is a formal process of professional support and learning for mental health therapists. SYF offers both individual and group clinical supervision to those seeking licensure in Florida and Pennsylvania. Supervisors at SYF are trained and experienced in a variety of evidence based modalities. The support they provide will improve supervisees clinical skills and enhance the quality of care they provide to clients. During supervision sessions, therapists may discusses their cases with the supervisor, feedback and guidance on their clinical decisions, techniques, and interventions is provided. The supervisor may also help the therapist explore any personal biases or countertransference that may be impacting their work. Clinical supervision aims to promote self-reflection, professional growth, and ethical practice, while also providing emotional support and reducing burnout. It is a requirement for mental health therapists to receive clinical supervision as part of their professional development and ongoing licensure.
